JOB ANNOUNCEMENT - Six Points Evaluation and Training, Inc. is seeking an Executive Director. Six Points is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide education, training, assistance and support to all developmentally disabled adults and their families in Gunnison and Hinsdale Counties, such that these individuals reach their highest functioning levels and become integrated into our society as independent, productive, contributing citizens. Six Points also operates a Thrift Store to further its mission. The Executive Director functions as the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for implementing policies approved by the Board of Directors, achieving annual goals and objectives, and managing finances, programming, fundraising strategies, and administration of the corporation all in support of the Six Points Mission Statement. Qualifications include a master's degree preferred or bachelor's degree with experience including a minimum of three (3) years' experience supervising multiple employees, interpreting extensive Federal and State regulations, excellent communication skills and fundraising experience. Education and/or experience in a nonprofit business environment preferred. Starting salary $45,000-$55,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications. Position is open until filled. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR JOB Description and Duties: The mission of the Crested Butte/Mt Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce is to provide communication, event, and advocacy services to our members, so they can successfully operate their businesses. Status: Salaried Exempt. The Executive Director (ED) is employed by and reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for effectively leading the organization. The ED is expected to successfully achieve the Chamber's mission of service to members while strengthening the local business community. Specific areas of responsibility include staff leadership, ensuring quality visitor experiences, supporting positive member relations, reporting to the Board of Directors, collaborating county-wide with various organizations, advocating for the business community and running Chamber programs and events. Expectations: 1. Maintain consistent member communications and relations: a). Keep the member database current and ensure staff members know how to access and utilize it. b). Implement the year-round communication plan for all members, ensuring they are up-to-date on their membership status, benefits and contacts; may also include regular in-person visits with members. c). Implement monthly Business After Hours, seminars, annual awards, and other member-specific events as deemed necessary by the staff or Board. d). Represent the business community by attending all council meetings in each town; if the ED is unavailable for any meeting, they may send a request to staff and Board members to go in their place. 2. Manage Chamber and Visitor Center staff and buildings: a). Recruit and hire staff as needed; assign work to staff members based on skills, abilities and job responsibilities; provide regular and appropriate supervision and training; conduct performance monitoring activities as needed. b). Address disciplinary issues and discharge staff when necessary; keep current with State and Federal laws to ensure sound hiring and firing procedures. c). Ensure all necessary office supply and building maintenance needs are adequately addressed in a timely manner. 3. Assist event coordinator with signature events: a). Provide guidance and assistance where needed to ensure all Chamber events are well organized and managed; events are to be determined annually upon the renewal of BOLT funding agreements with both towns. 4. Develop and monitor the annual budget: a). Work with the Board treasurer to draft a budget for the next fiscal year; this budget to be presented to the Board of Directors for approval. b). Responsible for adhering to the approved budget. c). Annually renew and report on each year's Visitor Center/Business and Occupancy Licensing Tax (BOLT) agreements as outlined in the agreements
